Hi, I’m Kate. I’m a product and design executive based in Chicago.

I lead teams that make complex software easier to use, and lately, faster to build.

I have 20+ years of experience building and leading product and design teams. I’ve led organizations of up to 30+ people at companies including United Airlines, W.W. Grainger, Morningstar and, most recently, Basis Global Technologies, where I led product experience for a SaaS-based enterprise media planning and buying platform.

For the past two years, I’ve focused on how AI changes the way teams work. At Basis, I developed an AI Toolkit to move the platform from AI-first to AI-native, standardized prototyping with AI tools and built Claude-based project tools for teams to estimate product discovery and design delivery work.
